Our Story
There’s something sacred about a cup of chai. Not the kind you sip in a paper cup on your way to work — we’re talking slow-brewed, elaichi-infused, made-with-love kind of chai. The kind that smells like home, feels like comfort, and tastes like something your nani would approve of (but your Instagram would too).
ElaiChai was born from that feeling — of longing for a space that feels both familiar and fresh, cultural and contemporary. From a plate of pani puri or vada pav to a Malabar chicken biryani, tandoor grill or comforting curry, the menu brings together flavours that feel familiar while giving them a distinctly Elaichai setting. Pair them with kadak masala chai, Kashmiri pink chai, matcha or one of our signature cold drinks.
We’re a modern Indian brunch café with a heart full of spice and a plate full of nostalgia. Our food is halal, our space is inclusive, and our energy is pure main-character — always aesthetic, never watered down.
At ElaiChai, we don’t just serve food. We serve stories. Stories of heritage, of comfort, of mixing traditions with trends. Because here, chai isn’t just a drink — it’s a ritual. A rebellion. A love language.
So whether you’re chai-curious, homesick, or just hungry for something new, you’re welcome here. Find your seat. Grab your kulhad. Let the steam rise and the stories flow.
From India With Love
Our founder's grandmother measured cardamom by hand, never by spoon. That same blend — green elaichi, ginger, a whisper of fennel — is the backbone of every cup we pour.
The kitchen around it grew slowly: samosas folded to order, pakoras fried in small batches, plates meant to be shared.
We kept the heritage and dropped the hurry. What's left is a bistro that feels like someone's home, because it started as one.

The Vision
Where design, community, and desi flavour come together. We envision a world where chai culture is celebrated, not commercialised — through food, design and shared experiences.
The Mission
To serve bold, comforting Indian food and chai in a space where tradition meets contemporary café culture. Halal, inclusive, familiar yet fresh.
